Since 1990 the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has published the annual Human Development Report, which provides a comprehensive overview of human development worldwide (you can find the latest report here). A central indicator in these reports is the Human Development Index (HDI), a composite measure that integrates key dimensions such as health, education, and economic prosperity at the country level.
Yanchun Zhang is the Chief Statistician of the UNDP. In her talk, she will offer insights into how human development is measured and will present empirical findings from recent Human Development Reports.
